United Kingdom officials are launching an emergency alert system that warns the general public if life-threatening natural disasters or extreme weather events are to occur.
Cellular broadcasting systems using 4G and 5G towers will emit a signal that delivers important emergency action messages to peoples’ cellphones.
Severe flooding, a terror attack, or a fire will all prompt an emergency notification to be sent directly to users’ phones. Users will then be encouraged to dismiss the message physically.
The user’s phone can sound an audible alarm and vibrate even if the device is set to silent mode. Once the alert is heard, an emergency action message will be displayed on the user’s screen.
The UK government expects people to follow any instructions they are given and act in an orderly fashion.
How to receive emergency alerts:
- The alerts are free; you don’t need to sign up for them or download any app.
- The Emergency Services or the Government will only ever send them.
- You will get alerts based on location, not where you live or work.
- You will not get alerts if your device is turned off or in airplane mode.
- No personal information such as telephone number, identity, or location is used in sending the alert. No one will collect or share data about you, your device, or your site.
- You can opt out anytime but not hear about potential emergencies.
This ties into what Shepard Ambellas has recently discussed on the Shepard Ambellas Show. The following episode is a must-watch. The Intellihub editor-in-chief Tweeted on Wednesday: “Now the mainstream media is jumping on board with what I have been saying for year, and what I warned about in my #documentary #film #ShackledToSilence.”
