Original gangster rap and media icon Ice Cube recently parted ways with Sony Entertainment’s Oh Hell No production in which he was to co-star with comedy legend Jack Black.
O’Shea Jackson Sr., a.k.a. Ice Cube, is best known for his role in Boyz in the Hood and the Friday franchise, threw away the $9 million deal, requiring the actor to be vaccinated against SARS-CoV-2.
The Matt Tolmoch and Jack Black production will be shot this winter in Hawaii, with Bad Trip director Kitao Sakurai calling the shots on the action, despite Jackson’s decision.
Whether the publicity is good or bad, Cube remains in the spotlight from time to time, keeping him relevant in the new age. However, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the American actor turned down another deal in recent months, adding controversy, possibly blacklisting him from future projects.
