(INTELLIHUB) — YouTuber and professional boxer Logan Paul says he relied on one of the greatest boxers of all time, Floyd Mayweather, to make the game plan on how Sunday night’s fight would unfold.
Paul, who has 20 million YouTube subscribers, managed to get Mayweather with a good shot in the first round before unleashing a barrage of bombs onto the 50-0 champion, making him look like a sack of hammered meat.
Mayweather is Paul’s second opponent, which speaks for itself. Paul has only boxed professionally once before.
The exhibition fight went the full eight scheduled rounds and drew a massive pay-per-view crowd and payday for the two boxers.
“I wanted to give people a show, and he was fighting to survive,” says boxing champion Floyd Mayweather. “No excuses, I had fun tonight. You know I’d go out there and put on a show, and I really believe that he was just going the distance, and that was a win for him. So he was really happy just going the distance.”
Paul weighed in at 189.5 lbs while Mayweather weighed in at 155, yielding Paul a size advantage, which worked well for the famous YouTuber.
Sports commentators say that Paul was the winner of the exhibition, but no judges were present.
Mayweather threw 107 punches, landing 40% to Pauls 13%, based on post-fight statistics.
Mayweather was paid $30 million before even entering the ring as part of a contractual guarantee.
Paul told TMZ in an interview last month that he had the potential to make about $20 million off of the fight, giving both of the exhibitionists the last laugh.
Mayweather told reporters that the fight was essentially a ‘leagallized hiest.’
