(INTELLIHUB) — It’s not science fiction anymore that robots are replacing human workers. The ongoing pandemic has triggered a decline in the U.S. workforce, and robots are beginning to take advantage of the new positions. The question is: how long will humans last?
The Bureau of Labor Statistics reports the leisure and hospitality industry suffered a loss of 61,000 jobs in January, leading to the worst plunge of the month.
The retail and trade sector sustained a total loss of 37,800 jobs, according to the bureau report.
Not to mention, transportation, warehousing, and manufacturing also suffered a loss of 37,000 workers, adding to the problem.
